Who Are The Femmes?

The Violet Femmes were formed on October 22, 2011 at the NJ Romance Writers “Put Your Heart in a Book” Conference. On the last night of the conference, we joined together to share writing experiences, our stories, and general love of writing.

Why “The Violet Femmes”? Well, we are all from New Jersey, and the wild violet is New Jersey’s state flower. And since we’re all romance writers, writing about “femmes fatales”, well, that seemed a no-brainer. Throw in a nod to 80’s music (who doesn’t like music from the 80’s?), and the Violent Femmes, and, well, you see where this is going.

Every week, we’ll take turns blogging about our lives, our books, where we find inspiration…and anything else we can think of. We’ll invite you to share your views, as well. And occasionally, we’ll have a guest blogger, just to shake things up.
